Glen, or "Stumpy" as his mother calls him, is also a Fish. Glen "Stumpy" Close has a rare illness that won't allow him to be where he is supposed to be. "Ticky-Ticky-No-Tickyphobia" as Webster defines it is the fear of clocks. Specifically, the sound that a digital clock makes when the time changes. We hired Stumpy without meeting him from a tape he sent us (only because he didn't show). "He has so much talent and at the same time...well...we've never really met, but we're a better band for having him" Joe was quoted as saying in the November issue of Ebony. Not a day goes by that I don't think about Stumpy and his words of wisdom. Just yesterday we didn't meet for lunch and he was saying..."Banks here sought regulatory approval for the expansion of their securities activities to allow them flexibility." We would laugh and laugh. "Furthermore", he added, "the position of the Glass-Steagall Act on granting broader securities powers to banks is less precise than once believed."
